You have to love last minute....

"Hey Lisa, do you have any birthday cards?"  Oh Sean, 'Really'?

Uncle Sean realized we needed to send his two nieces birthday cards and he wanted to be crafty and creative.  They are getting ready to redo their room, so he wanted something with a 'painty' feel.  He decided to get them $100 in all singles and wrote a letter in cursive to them about using the money for their room and saving a bit for themselves.  Of course, who has birthday cards lying around?

I zipped through my blog to see if I had anything he'd be interested in and came across these beauties.  Still a classic for me!

Here is a link to the Technique Tuesday video I created.

The die is from Winnie and Walter and the sentiment is from Lawn Fawn.  I used clear embossing paste as well as Gansai watercolors.

My 'second' baby shower???

I'm not sure what it is about these Georgia folks but this is the second baby shower I've help run in one month.  OMG.  Really not my thing - and when I got nominated to make the diaper cake, I almost fainted.  You should have seen the stress on Sean's face when we were at Wal-mart and I took a detour into the baby section.  WOW, first, I had no idea what I was looking at, and second, Sean didn't talk to me for hours.  Fair to say I didn't explain why I was there - and he certainly didn't ask!

BUT - I absolutely LOVE how both events came out.  Below is the latest party.  One of my team members adopted a baby boy, Jakobe.  I am in awe of her and her family and how big their hearts are.

Below are images from the baby welcoming party.  The diaper cake came out adorable.  I love love love the giraffe and how it all came together.  I also love the WPlus9 giraffe stamps!  So cute.

I also found inspiration to create onsie cupcakes - how cute and easy.  I should make a video on both the diaper cake and the hot air balloon cupcake holder, but....

One of her teammates is a photographer and she asked for a gift card... again - I went a little overboard and found an SVGCuts file of a 3D camera.  I was covered in glue - but it came out great!!!!  Sean says to me... 'She asked for a gift card?  And you made this?  You wonder why people don't like you?'  LOL

Also below are the ADORABLE baby stroller hershey kiss candy holders.  They are a crowd pleasers and a wow-factor.  Over the next couple of days, I'll get the measurements posted and perhaps a video.

It is flattering to be told to go into business making these items - if only it could pay ALL of the bills!

One year celebration!

It's hard to believe I moved to Georgia over a year ago and my department is ONE year old!  It is crazy to think how fast the time has gone by.  We had a one year celebration in the office for my team and these are the Thank You Notes and small appreciation tokens I presented to my team.

The background stamp is from Concord and 9th.  If you haven't played with this stamp, OMG!  They have some crazy math gurus over there that figured out how to use this stamp by turning it four ways to create the multicolor/multidimensional background.  I did get my inspiration from Jennifer McGuire's video on the color variation and embossing powders.

The little pots with the succulents???  Those were from dollar tree - Sean and I spray painted them with a metallic paint, wrapped the rim with twine, and added the lady bug.  I made a dozen for $6... $10 if you add the spray paint!

'B' is for baby!  I was asked to create a strawberry card for a dear friend who was creating a gift for the 'Berry' family!  This was a SVGCuts file I found online.  This was SO much fun to assemble.  I do love my brother scanncut!

I hope the Berry family enjoys their gift and the arrival of baby Berry soon!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #219

What a week!!!!

Welcome back to another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge!  Sorry for the poor photo quality... I actually made the card a few weeks ago and used it before taking a picture of it!!!  I'm so glad the recipient still had it!

The cats are a die cut from IO Stamps and the sentiment is from the new Newton's Nook set.

I hope you will join us this week!  Thank you so much for visiting!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #215

Welcome back!  This week I had limited access to supplies while traveling to the West Coast!  The exciting part, the new Altenew stamp set the wound its way into my collection.  I used this layering stamp set and a sparkle pen to color this gorgeous flower set.  I can at wait to get back to the east coast and get back into my craft room!  I did a lot of journaling and planning on this trip and hope to invest more time into my blog and get back into creating my weekly videos!

I hope you'll join us this week!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #213

At first glance, I was going with my default coffee stain for this sketch challenge... and then thought it wasn't very creative!  I asked Sean what he thought the sketch looked like... and his response 'a coffee stain.'  Original.  He then said, 'a car doing a u-turn'.

I was going through my stamps and found these little guys from Lawn Fawn and decided to flip the sketch upside down.  I did a modified shaker card with Tule instead of an acrylic window - inspiration from Jennifer McGuire.  It keeps the card lighter and less bulkier.  And who knew... but there is glitter Tule out there!  That will be for another project though.

The 'Love' is a die cut from Winne and Walter.

I hope you enjoy Sketch #213!  Get your craft on!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #211

Welcome back to another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #211 and Happy Mother's Day!

I had to break out the Brother Scanncut to make the Zig Zag pattern welded with a circle.  The flowers are a Memory Box Die cut that I glued all the little pieces together.

The Mother's Day Stamp is from Lawn Fawn.  The circle ring is from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

I hope you join us this week and to all the mom's out there - Happy Mother's Day!  Anyone interested in joining the challenge, the deadline is Sunday night.

Baby shower invitation!

Bows!  It wasn't the focal point for this card but it did unlock the invitation to an upcoming baby shower!  I had a blast designing this card with the Mimi to be!

This card has been entered in the 4 Crafty Chicks Bow Challenge!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch #209

Welcome to another Atlantic Hearts Sketch #209.  I found this one to be a tough one.  I kept thinking the Olympic Rings but I didn't know what to do with that.  So the longer I thought about it and pondered it over a cup of coffee, it finally hit me.... or spilled!

Feel the love.  Caffeinated love.

The background was embossed with triangles.  The middle section was created with the Concord 9th triangle stamp.    The spilled coffee stamp is from Altenew and the coffee cups are from Newton's Nook.  I do love my coffee.

Happy Crafting!

4 Crafty Chicks - Butterfly Challenge

A butterfly challenge!  How fun!

This card was designed for the 4 Crafty Chicks Card Challenge - Butterfly.  I used the Die'sire floral die cut to create the edges.  The background paper is scrap paper left over from when I was playing with my Gelli plate and acrylic paints.  The colors worked perfectly!  The butterflies (Memory Box) were die cut from water color paper that I painted with purples and pinks and sprayed some sparkle mist on.  I embossed the sentiments on vellum and attached!  This was a fun card to make and will hopefully remain a secret for my mom!

Happy Crafting!

Rubbernecker Challenge #7 April Showers

I missed the last Rubbernecker Challenge by a few hours and wasn't going to let this one pass!  April showers do bring May flowers as I'm sitting here on our own rainy Sunday looking forward to all that it brings tomorrow!  We planted a lot of flowers this weekend and I can't wait to see them bloom.  For the background, I sprinkled some colorburst on white cardstock and then sprayed the paper lightly with water.  Once that dried, I embossed the raindrops and then used some ink and a sponge to highlight the raindrops a bit more.  I diecut an umbrella and covered it with flowers and diecut 'celebrate'.  It was a fun little project for a rainy Sunday.  Happy Crafting!

Welcome back to another Atlantic Hearts Sketch #207.  I used the Heartfelt Creations Rose stamp and die.  I selected a dark colored paper, embossed in clear, and die cut out each flower.  I then shaped them and glues all the layers together.  The 'Thankful' die is from Simon Says Stamp.

I hope you enjoy!  Happy crafting!

I used the Heartfelt Creations Dogwood flowers and made a shaker card window with some beads and sequins!

Enjoy and happy crafting!

Get Well Soon!

It's not my favorite message but there are times you need a get well soon card!  I saw the 4 Crafty Chicks Green card challenge and while it is close to St. Patrick's Day, I decided to head in a different direction.  I used a simple Heartfelt Creations die cut as the primary image and added a few embellishments.  I hope you enjoy!  It's a simple method to use selecting one larger die to make front and center.  Happy crafting!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #201

Welcome to another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #201.  This week I was fortunate enough to bump into the 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge of Stencils - so I was able to incorporate the two challenges together.  The background is a tear drop stencil.  I used whipped spackle, added a little bubble gum gelato to tint it pink and then added cool sparkle to it and let it dry.  Then I used the Heartfelt Creations Flowering Dogwood stamps and dies to create a few flowers.  I finished with the Simon Says Stamp 'Grateful' die.

I hope you all enjoy the sketch this week!  Get your craft on!
