Atlantic Hearts Sketch #223

Welcome back to another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge! Boy - I had fun with this one!!!!

The 'stain glass window' is a die cut.  I saw it and had to have it!  Go figure it was from England.  It's from Pretty Quick Dies.  And, while I was shopping, I also came across the 'Fabulous' die cut!  The links are below.

The small rose is from Simon Says Stamp 'Best Mom Ever' set.

I die cut the window from black paper and then from multiple other colors.  I put the black frame on double sided tape and then used all the other small pieces to fill in the window.  It was a labor of love - but I love the results.  The little squares were filled in with Elizabeth Crafts warm diamond glitter.

I hope you will join us this week at Atlantic Hearts Sketch!

4 Crafty Chicks - Girlfriends Challenge

Today I was able to spend some time in the craft room!!!

This stamp is from Simon Says Stamp.  I stamped it in Versamark Ink and embossed in white on watercolor paper.  I used distress inks to watercolor the flower.  I just love the results.

I'm on the 'fabulous' kick which is a die cut from Crafter's Companion.

I added a little bit of bling around the card and I'm just so pleased with how it came out!

I have a few fabulous friends I need to get in touch with and I think this is going to be heading to someone special in Connecticut!

Happy Crafting!

Rubbernecker Stamps Challenge #14 Respect the Age

I'm so happy to be able to be back in the craft room!  I think work has finally gotten to a manageable place.

Today I was able to work on a few card challenges and the first was for Rubbernecker Stamps!  The challenge is 'Respect the Age.'  I'm never one to really poke fun at people's ages so I decided to make a classic birthday card.  I think that respects all ages!  :)

The 'Happy' is from Winnie and Walter.  The background stamp is from Simon Says Stamp.

I used masking tape across the middle of the card and stamped the image twice with Versamark ink and embossed in black.  I used a white gel pen to color in a few areas.  I added the sentiments and some bling around the card!

I hope you enjoy!  Happy Saturday!

You have to love last minute....

"Hey Lisa, do you have any birthday cards?"  Oh Sean, 'Really'?

Uncle Sean realized we needed to send his two nieces birthday cards and he wanted to be crafty and creative.  They are getting ready to redo their room, so he wanted something with a 'painty' feel.  He decided to get them $100 in all singles and wrote a letter in cursive to them about using the money for their room and saving a bit for themselves.  Of course, who has birthday cards lying around?

I zipped through my blog to see if I had anything he'd be interested in and came across these beauties.  Still a classic for me!

Here is a link to the Technique Tuesday video I created.

The die is from Winnie and Walter and the sentiment is from Lawn Fawn.  I used clear embossing paste as well as Gansai watercolors.

One year celebration!

It's hard to believe I moved to Georgia over a year ago and my department is ONE year old!  It is crazy to think how fast the time has gone by.  We had a one year celebration in the office for my team and these are the Thank You Notes and small appreciation tokens I presented to my team.

The background stamp is from Concord and 9th.  If you haven't played with this stamp, OMG!  They have some crazy math gurus over there that figured out how to use this stamp by turning it four ways to create the multicolor/multidimensional background.  I did get my inspiration from Jennifer McGuire's video on the color variation and embossing powders.

The little pots with the succulents???  Those were from dollar tree - Sean and I spray painted them with a metallic paint, wrapped the rim with twine, and added the lady bug.  I made a dozen for $6... $10 if you add the spray paint!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #219

What a week!!!!

Welcome back to another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge!  Sorry for the poor photo quality... I actually made the card a few weeks ago and used it before taking a picture of it!!!  I'm so glad the recipient still had it!

The cats are a die cut from IO Stamps and the sentiment is from the new Newton's Nook set.

I hope you will join us this week!  Thank you so much for visiting!
