Creative Knockouts Challenge #231 Flower Power

Thank you for joining us this week at Creative Knockouts for our Flower Power Challenge hosted by A Day For Daisies!  This image is Daisy Bird Bath.

The background sheet was actually made with shaving cream and Ken Oliver Colorbursts.  The image, I printed on vellum, and colored the back of the image.  When that was complete, I added some Pico Embellisher and Nuvo Drops to the flowers and the butterflies.

Flower Power is Fabulous!  Sentiment is from Crafters Companion.  Thank you for joining us this week!  I can't wait to see you creations!

Aud Sentiments #196 Valentine's/Love

It's almost here!  Valentine's Day!  Thank you so much for joining us this week at Aud Sentiments!  I fell in love with Altenew's Best Buds Stamp Set and their layering ink colors.  Simply beautiful.  I added a little Spectrum Noir Glitter Clear to each of the flowers.  For the background, I picked one of the flowers and embossed it in crisp white.  It is subtle and adds elegance.  The sentiment is from Concord & 9th 'You fill my heart with love and flowers.'  I hope my Valentine will like their card.  I finished it off with a few Nuvo Drops. Thank you for joining us!!!  I can't wait to see your creations!

2 Crafty Critter Crazies February Challenge

Thank you to Sheepski Designs for hosting the February Challenge at 2 Crafty Critter Crazies!  I'm so glad you stopped by!

This month I chose to work with 'Lil Skunk.'  He is typically a single image.  I flipped him and made a second skunk so they could fall in love for Valentine's Day!  Once I colored the skunks in with my spectrum noir markers (and glitter markers for the white), I masked them and used a heart stencil for the background.  The sentiment 'You're Stinkin' Cute' is from Lawn Fawn.  The heart die is from Simon Says Stamp.  I die cut it twice and then added the pieces back in to create a stained glass effect.

I hope you join us this month!  I can't wait to see your Critter designs!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #249

'Lovely.'
I just love these Altenew Flowers and how they layer!  They are simply lovely!  I used the clear spectrum noir glitter pen to highlight the last stamped layer of the flower.  The sentiment is a die from Heidi Swapp.  I also used rose gold foil on the right side by applying double sided tape and using a bone folder to adhere the foil

Thank you for joining us this week at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge!

If you give a crafter a cookie! Challenge #86

Happy Day and Happy Birthday!!!

Welcome back to challenge #86!

I had a couple of firsts on this card!  This was my first time playing with alcohol inks on Yupo paper! Talk about fun!  The second was printing the image on transparency paper and coloring the back of it.    I used my new Kelly Creates metallic brush markers - they were the perfect shimmery opaque to use to color the flowers and birds.  Then I layered the transparency on the Yupo paper and matted the card.

Loving this image Birds in Spring from Imagine That.  Thank you to Imagine that for sponsoring this week's challenge!

Creative Knockouts Challenge #229 "In Stitches"

This little bunny, from Imagine That Digi Stamps, is SO adorable!  This is Snowdrop Bunny.  I did a LOT of masking to make this card.  First I created a mask for the image and the ground and used a stitched circle stencil to create the background.  Then I had to mask the 'top' of the card so I could use my distress inks to color in the grass.  When all was said and done, I was able to color him in with my Spectrum Noir Markers and add use the clear Spectrum Noir Glitter Marker to color in the flower.  To finish this little guy off, I added white flock to his tail!  SO CUTE!

The sentiment is from Technique Tuesday and just fits this card so well.  I used a stitched square die from Lawn Fawn.

Thank you so much for stopping by Creative Knockouts this week!  I can't wait to see your craftiness!

Aud Sentiments #195 Anything Goes

Thank you so much for stopping by!!!  Welcome to challenge #195 with Aud Sentiments - Anything Goes!  This weeks challenge is hosted by We Are 3 Digi Shop.

I selected this little guy 'Home and Heart'.  I've been craving to use green lately and he was perfect!  The sentiment is from IO Stamps.  I used Spectrum Noir Markers and Spectrum Noir Glitter Pens to color him in.  I did use my Brother Scan'n'Cut to cut him out.... I do love that machine!  The background he is on is what is truly unique about this card.  The background was made using shaving cream and Ken Oliver's Colorbursts.  Let me tell you how much FUN it was making these backgrounds!  I hope to make it one of the next Technique Tuesday videos!

Thank you again for stopping by!  I hope you'll join us this week at Aud Sentiments!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch #247

Welcome Back!!!  I hope you are enjoying this weeks sketch from Atlantic Hearts!

I had fun working with water and the Ken Oliver Colorbursts on this background.  It is SOOOOO sparkly and colorful!  I wet a piece of watercolor paper and just kept adding coloring and drying till I was happy with the results.  I'm thinking I am going to try this again and then add a planet or a cosmic theme!

Thank you for stopping by!  Please join us this week at Atlantic Hearts Sketch!
